REFOCUSING TO SEE by Chuck Kelley
This particular article/blog thingy is not about seeing rather than looking. That one comes later…and it’s a cool one…this one is too. (!)
This one is about limited scope, defining a picture by dissecting a single pixel and basically being full of it! We do it all the time!
In NLP they call it the 1%. We can always find at least 1% of any person, place, thing or idea, regardless of all else, that we can agree with 100%. This process is normally done deliberately and with some difficulty, because somewhere down deep, we do not want to agree with anything that has to do with this !@#$%*&^*!. We loathe this !@#$%^&*!! !@#$%^&*!!!!
Funny how doing the opposite comes so easily and naturally…Check out the comments beneath any article, blog, video…anything that provides the opportunity for someone to give their thoughts…on anything. OMG!!! Cruel, demeaning, harsh, petty, conniving and nasty comments litter each page…after page…In almost every case it’s that 1% of a person, place, thing or idea rubbed someone the wrong way and now the entirety of that person, place, thing or idea or a combination of those is declared 100% flawed!
WE DO THAT CONSTANTLY.
